Sebastian Khoshabeh, CFI

Hi! My name is Sebastian Khoshabeh and I currently provide Flight Instruction Services in Salina, KS. I began flight training in 2020 at Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport (KMYF). I received my Private Pilot Rating shortly after graduating High School in 2021. A few months later, I moved to Salina and began attending Kansas State University’s Professional Pilot Program, where I received my Instrument Rating in 2022, and Commercial Rating in 2023. The most recent rating which I have added to my certificate, is my Flight Instructor Rating. I am currently using it to teach other students how to fly! I believe my unique experience in both Part 61 and Part 141 environments, as well as my experience flying in other parts of the country truly sets me apart from other candidates. This diverse and dynamic flight training timeline has truly allowed me to achieve true mastery of my skills as both a pilot, and as a flight instructor.

Here’s a little insight into the full flight training process:

Private Pilot Certificate

Commercial Certificate

Getting your private pilot certificate is a very rewarding and fulfilling experience. It permits you to fly your friends and family around in a variety of aircraft to a number of destinations. For those wanting to pursue a career in aviation, this is the first step of your training. Building hours consists of learning how to land, takeoff, perform maneuvers, navigate fly the aircraft solo, and other flight exercises.

A Commercial Certificate allows pilots to be compensated for their flying services. It opens the doors to many job opportunities, such as aerial surveying, charter flights, cargo flights, etc. This rating further elevates the skill and experience beyond private pilot capabilities, as it focuses on next-level aircraft operation, advanced navigation techniques, and professional-level flight standards. Earning a commercial certificate consists of cross-country flying to build flight time, as well as performing new maneuvers to demonstrate true mastery of the aircraft.

Instrument Rating

Flight Instructor Certificate

An instrument rating is a pivotal certification for pilots, signifying their proficiency in flying an aircraft solely with reference to instruments. Obtaining an instrument rating involves rigorous training in flight planning, navigation, and instrument interpretation. Many pilots seek this rating, regardless of their career choice, as it greatly expands their capabilities to fly in a broader ranges of weather conditions.

Note: I am currently unable to instruct instrument students, however I am currently undergoing CFII training.

A Flight Instructor Certificate enables pilots to mentor aspiring aviators in the art of flight. This prestigious rating emphasizes enhancing the instructor's teaching prowess, ensuring they can effectively demonstrate and convey concepts to their future students. Expect rigorous ground training alongside exceptionally insightful and enriching flight instruction. Attaining a Flight Instructor Certificate not only marks a significant level of piloting excellence but also paves the way for shaping the next generation of pilots, making a meaningful impact on the aviation community.
