  • Checkout Process

    Requirements:

    - Must hold a current U.S. Drivers License or Passport

    - Must hold a valid FAA medical license

    - Must hold a current pilot certificate

    What to expect:

Prior to renting aircraft, we require pilots to complete training to get familiar with the aircraft, also called a “checkout.” During this process, you’ll learn procedures, checklists, maneuvers, aircraft systems, and all other crucial information you need to become proficient in the aircraft you wish to rent.

This consists of both ground and flight instruction. The length of the process depends on a number of factors, such as your overall experience, flight time in the specific aircraft, currency, proficiency, and how fast you’re able to learn a new aircraft. Typically, the process ranges from one to three flights.

    Instruction Rate: $60/hr
